Assistant Entertainment Media Director, GLAAD Tuff Catholic Dogma:
 The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, a conservative Catholic watchdog organization, is unhappy with Miramax Films and its parent company Disney over the release of Dogma, which co-stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
The two Oscar winners portray renegade angels who believe that the Catholic Church's laws are fallible. In 1995, the League led a boycott against the gay-themed film Priest and later the gay-inclusive ABC drama Nothing Sacred. Adam Sandler's Gay Daddy
Moviegoers are in for a surprise when they see the Adam Sandler comedy Big Daddy. Within the first five minutes of the film, two men passionately kiss, revealing themselves as an out-and-in-love couple.
While this display of affection by the law school friends of Sonny Koufax (Sandler) doesn't bother the super-straight Sonny, the same gender smooching bothers another pal of the trio. Sonny's response to the unease: "That's what gay guys do, they kiss." The handsome couple, Phil (Allen Covert) and Tommy (Peter Dante), are seen throughout the film and play a role in Sonny's struggle to keep his foster son, Julian. In fact, the two actors are longtime friends of Sandler's and can be seen in many of his past film projects. Chasing Amy's Joey Lauren Adams co-stars as Sonny's love interest. As if all that where not enough, Daily Variety reports that the star is in final talks to star opposite Oscar-winner Kathy Bates (Misery) in Unconditional Love for a career-setting salary in the seven-digit range. Everett would portray the boyfriend of a murdered pop star. When Bates' character meets Everett's, she convinces him to help her hunt down the killer. Beggars and Choosers Premieres This weekend, Showtime premieres Beggars and Choosers, a new original series about a television network. Created by the late Brandon Tartikoff, the dramedy includes a closeted gay executive, Malcolm Laffley (Tuc Watkins). Alexis Arquette, the openly gay actor, has a recurring role on the show as Malcolm's drag queen friend who gets in hot water with the president of the network. Check the series out this Saturday at 10PM EST/PST on Showtime. Tinky Winky's 15 Minutes Must Be Up: 
Jerry Falwell's National Liberty Journal, which said Tinky Winky was gay, is now weighing in on Lilith Fair, the women's music festival organized by Sarah McLachlan.
In the June issue, editor J.M. Smith writes "Lilith proponents mix images of sex into the sacred spiritual relationship that God cultivated for man. Many paintings and depictions of Lilith present her in lewd poses, often times kissing a female demonic figure. The lesbian imagery has become quite synonymous with the legend."
