17 powerful photos you need to see from Peckham Pride

This year, Peckham Pride marches in solidarity with migrants and ethnic minorities in London.

Various events were held over the course of the day to send a message of defiance against the Government cracking down on migration.

The Facebook event said: ‘We refuse to be divided, we refuse to let prejudices turn us against each other.

‘Our enemies are not each other, but borders and bigots.

‘Through immigration raids, detention and deportations, the government is trying to tear our communities apart.

‘Join us for a celebration of queer and migrant culture in an act of defiance against the increasing repression from Theresa May and her government.

‘We must fight back together.’

This powerful Pride event turned protest rally showcases intersectionality at its best.

Here are our picks for the most powerful and awe-inspiring photos from the day.
