It turns out Ellen’s blue eyes make Jane Fonda swoon

Jane Fonda got a little distracted this week while talking with Ellen DeGeneres about Robert Redford’s blue eyes.

‘The only problem working with Bob is I kind of fall into his eyes and forget my dialogue,’ Fonda confessed.

Then she said to the blue-eyed DeGeneres: ‘It’s kind of like being on your show.’

Fonda told the audience: ‘You don’t know what it’s like to be up here and look into here eyes. Well, I guess you do because you see them on television but it’s much harder in real life to look into her eyes and not …’

DeGeneres finished Fonda’s sentence with: ‘fall in love.’

Added the host: ‘You’re so sweet. I love you.’

Fonda and Redford have now starred together in four films dating back to 1966’s The Chase.

The next year they starred opposite together in their most well-known film Barefoot in the Park then re-teamed in 1979 for The Electric Horseman. They recently completed filming the drama Our Souls At Night due out later this year.

‘He’s so good looking,’ Fonda said. ‘I realize I’ve grown up because in the three previous movies I was always in love with him. I fell in love every time.’

Fonda’s appearance with DeGeneres was to promote the third season of her hit Netflix comedy series Grace and Frankie on which she stars opposite Lily Tomlin.
