Actor Terry Crews tweets story of sexual assault by Hollywood executive

Hollywood is abuzz right now with stories of multiple women who were allegedly sexually harassed by movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Those stories have moved actor Terry Crews to come forward with his own tale of sexual assault from a high-powered Hollywood official. But this executive was another man.

Crews isn’t naming the male in question, but it wasn’t Weinstein, who has not been linked with sexual abuse/harassment of any men.

In a series of 16 tweets on Tuesday afternoon, Crew revealed he was groped by a male power player at an industry party in 2016.

Crews said he nearly lashed out at the man, but stopped himself upon realization of how it would likely be portrayed in the media, ‘240 lbs. Black Man stomps out Hollywood Honcho.’

The 49-year-old Crews, who got his start as a National Football League linebacker before moving to acting, said he did receive an apology from the man in question, but that was only after discussing it with many of the man’s friends.

Once he got the apology, he let it go for fear of being ostracized by Hollywood.

Crews said he can empathize with the women who are coming forward regarding Weinstein.

‘Hollywood is not the only business where this happens, and to the casualties of this behavior — you are not alone,’ Crews said, winding down his tweet series.
