Oral Majority's Bob Kunst with Lou Posner of Voter March and with Bob Fertig of Democrats.Com New York, New York—Bob Kunst, Oral Majority chair, met this week with key Democratic party and anti-Bush leaders Bob Fertig of www.Democrats.com and Lou Posner of Voter March www.votermarch.org "It was great talking and strategizing and setting the agenda," Kunst told GayToday. On May 19, Kunst explained, Voter March is conducting a White House protest at which Kunst has been invited to speak. Mr. Bush, he says, will be called upon to resign. Others who march will pass the Justice Department, demanding an investigation into the disenfranchisement of Florida's voters. They will then join with other groups at the U.S. Capitol and they will denigrate Democratic politicians' unseemly silence following the illegal appointment of Bush as president by the Supreme Court. Finally, he explained, the Supreme Court itself will be protested for having appointed George W. Bush president. "While in New York City," Kunst related, "we also formed a chapter to focus weekly protests in Times Square to condemn the 'cover up' by New York Times, CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX with outreach to Broadway and the tourists." At the beginning of the week as he was returning to Miami, Kunst addressed Clay County, Florida Democrats. He also participated in a joint radio interview with Democrats.Com's Bob Fertig that was conducted by Meria Heller from Phoenix for her internet show. "Though unshaven and worn after such a long trip," Kunst said, "I still got a great reaction to the idea of running against Jeb Bush in Florida's Democratic Primary." Kunst sees such a candidacy as a sure-fire way "to take back our party as well as the country by keeping the stolen election issue alive, and forcing the rest to talk about it." Thursday's New York Times reported that hearings in Florida and elsewhere to encourage improvements in faulty election machinery have led nowhere. "Those with a stake in the process—political parties and officials from federal, state and county governments—are lapsing into predictable squabbles over advantage and turf," said the Times. Kunst revealed to GayToday that:
In an email to GayToday, Grandma Suni wrote: "Bob again had a great display of signs that were set up on the most visible corner of the complex where the Radisson stood. He even had two bottles of water. One was marked 'Arsenic' and the other 'Sewage'. He offered some to the reporter from WFLA radio who interviewed him about Oral Majority. "When a plain beige car passed us with Florida's governor in it, we flashed our signs just like we did to all other cars. We had the same expectations of thumbs up that most other car passengers and drivers give us. Then Bob said---'Hey! That was the governor who just passed. If you take your signs over to the entrance you may get the chance to let him see those posters up close.' " I'd worked up a couple of really good signs, one with two striped prisoners scrubbing the jailhouse floor and pasted with DumbYa and Jeb's face on it, saying, 'Bush Bros. Future' and the other with a big picture of Katherine Harris and Jeb stating, 'Bush Harris Fraud'. "Surely I couldn't let him get away so easily. Jan carried Bob's sign offering arsenic and sewage water as well as one of mine and we bolted over the parking lot to the large glass windows where we peered in at Jeb as he play-acted in the lobby with a teenage Hispanic band. "Oh, it was soo good! We pressed our signs up onto the window where Jeb stood about six feet away. He must have known we were there since the kids all turned their faces around toward us and a cameraman even spanned the area and caught a shot of Jan. But the funny thing is Jeb didn't even turn around once--- not once in the five minutes--- and we had our noses pressed against that glass....Hmmm, he must be learning how to avoid us.. he he he!" According to Grandma Suni: "Oral Majority is growing fast. People who are just plain fed up with the victimization of Americans…Like us, they are joining Oral Majority and speaking out. Even those quiet faithful Democrats who are wondering what has happened to our beloved party since November are starting to express their anger.... Where are the Values? What does America stand for anymore? Why aren't we ENRAGED by the fact that our democracy has dwindled so?" Meanwhile, according to Kunst, Tampa's Oral Majority and MAD Grandmothers will conduct a booing of Katherine Harris today, while South Floridian members will "protest Jeb on Saturday at the Marina Marriott in Fort Lauderdale at 5 p.m., and again on Monday at the Sheraton in West Palm Beach at 10:30 a.m.and again in the afternoon at 4:30 p.m. at the Westin Hill Country Club in Broward." Recent news polls indicate that as many as one in four Americans believe Election 2000 was stolen by Mr. Bush and his cohorts. USA Today's poll, notes Kunst, shows an even higher number who think the presidential election has been the victim of outright Bushtheft. "When we get off our behinds, the community responds and if we don't, they don't," Kunst notes, gloating over the fact that his Oral Majority has conducted 102 "Stolen Election" protests since November 7. |
