WHITE SLANDERS WHITES, HISPANICS, ASIANS AND GAYS

According to the Associated Press on April 25, 1998, White told the state legislature: "Homosexuality is a decision, it's not a race,'' White said. ``People from all different ethnic backgrounds live in this lifestyle. But people from all different ethnic backgrounds also are liars and cheaters and malicious and back-stabbing.''

White said he has thought about why God created different races. Each race has certain gifts, he said. Blacks are gifted at worship and celebration, White said. "If you go to a black church, you see people jumping up and down because they really get into it,'' he said.

Whites are good at organization, White said.

"You guys do a good job of building businesses and things of that nature, and you know how to tap into money," he said.

"Hispanics were gifted in family structure, and you can see a Hispanic person, and they can put 20, 30 people in one home."

The Japanese and other Asians are inventive, and "can turn a television into a watch,'' White said. Indians are gifted in spirituality, he said.

NIKE SAYS REGGIE WHITE APOLOGIZED

With regard to his recent remarks before the Wisconsin Assembly, Mr. White has issued an apology to those who may have been offended. BUT WITHIN DAYS, REGGIE WHITE SAYS GAYS HURT CHILDREN AND KILL PEOPLE

In excerpts from the 20/20 interview broadcast earlier this week, White was anything but apologetic. White said CBS was "...too scared of the Sodomite community...I feel sorry for them because they can't stand the truth." CBS dropped him from on-air commentary and Campbell's Soup let their contract with him expire -- he endorsed chunky soups.

According to the Associated Press (April 26), White's 20/20 interview included the following statement:

"White said he stands by his remarks regarding gays. `I am going to speak the truth and I am going to speak out against things that's hurting our children, that's killing off our people,' White said. `If people think that's a contradiction and that's hate, they need to take them up with God, not with Reggie White.'"

THEN WHITE JOINS ANTI-GAY EXTREMIST LOU SHELDON TO OPPOSE CIVIL RIGHTS PROTECTIONS

In addition, White is reportedly scheduled to attend a rally in Ypsilanti Michigan, urging that city to oppose an ordinance protecting gays and lesbians. And, notorious religious extremist Lou Sheldon held an anti-gay rally at the US Capitol last week at which he told the press that Reggie White had intended to appear but couldn't at the last minute, but that White wanted everyone attending to know of his support for Sheldon's anti-gay cause.

DOES NIKE AGREE THAT GAY AMERICANS "KILL PEOPLE" AND "HURT CHILDREN"?

Even after Nike lamely claimed White had apologized, he made it clear that he did nothing of the sort. How can a man that continues to slander whites, hispanics, asians, and gay people be considered a legitimate spokesman for anything other than a religious extremist?

If Nike thinks he's their man, then the're not my company. Please remind Nike that Reggie White failed to apologize to EVERYONE he offended. Unless Nike ends its relationship with White, I for one consider my relationship with Nike to have come to a permanent end! Adidas, here we come.
