Tom Duane (D-Manhattan) said he was "pleased that she's not marching in the exclusive Manhattan parade - and by exclusive I don't mean in the good, Saks Fifth Avenue sense, so I guess I should say exclusionary."…But Duane said that in the future he hopes Clinton will cite the parade's exclusionary nature in her decision not to attend.

In the penalty phase of Lingar's trial, prosecutor Richard Callahan, who may now be headed for a seat on the Missouri State Supreme Court recently vacated by his mother in law, argued for death, citing Lingar's homosexuality to the jury as the crucial factor that should tilt poison into the guilty man's veins. Despite the on-the-record anti-gay bias, Governor Bob Holden, a Democrat, turned down a clemency appeal and told the press he'd "lost no sleep" over signing off on Lingar's fate. LOS ANGELES-- With the nation still buzzing over his Feb. 21 Grammy Awards duet with Elton John, Eminem released a single Tuesday inspired by the performance. Among the song's lyrics: "I was at the Grammys and Elton John gave me a hug / So I got out my pliers and ripped his little faggot dick off with a tug / Shoved it down the throats of Britney, then Christina A. / Probably gave both of the bitches AIDS." John praised the song as "brave" and "coming from a very pure place."
