About Proposition 22 |
Compiled by GayToday
The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is urging its 35,000 members nationwide to call two friends and family members in California today and urge them to vote against Proposition 22. The "Call Two Against Proposition 22" campaign is being waged through both phone banks and email, and is the latest step NGLTF has taken to try to mobilize voters in California. "Proposition 22 is discriminatory and divisive," said NGLTF Executive Director Kerry Lobel. "It is a blatant, bigoted attack against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people and their families. I am asking every member of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force - regardless of where they live - to call everyone they know in California and do whatever it takes to get them to the polls (tomorrow) next Tuesday."
"If the election is close, we can win with turnout," Lobel said. "Remember: your vote is your voice." |
