Des Moines, Iowa—The Polk County attorney's office has decided to bring felony
voter charges against gay sex columnist, Dan Savage, according to Mark Weinhardt
who is Savage's attorney. The columnist, if convicted, faces as many as six years
in jail.
In an article titled "Stalking Gary Bauer", and published by the online magazine, Salon,
a flu-ridden Savage told how he'd infiltrated the Bauer campaign in Iowa and had attempted to
give the homophobic politician his case of the flu by licking office pens and doorknobs.

Savage, who reportedly voted in Iowa's Presidential Caucus, was not a resident of Iowa.
