South Florida's Oral Majority, led by Bob Kunst, arrives for GayPride celebrations at Myrtle Beach today, launching a national campaign to: "IMPEACH GOP". Kunst, before leaving his Miami Beach office, told GayToday that "we are now in "DAY 101 of a front-page- prurient-political-peep-holes-romance raging between Republican leader Newt Gingrich on one side of the peep hole partition & Special Investigator Kenneth Starr on the other"-- a 'sexual witchhunt' with those GOP peep-holers positioned behind every damn plant and every bedroom door. They're reveling in their own dirty imaginations, turning politicians into sex-scandal traders. The Oral Majority president dismisses sexual witch-hunt politics scornfully as "the GOP's only agenda." "The GOP's religious-nut-wing" he says, "is willing to sacrifice our nation to 'get Clinton' , using its $40 million 'pantyraid', tactic, ignoring real life-and-death issues of concern to all Americans." The veteran South Florida activist is urging everyone to STOP THIS SEXUAL WITCHHUNT and to Impeach the GOP. He intones heartily: "Throw the Bums Out." Kunst is also leading a widespread boycott against the Cayman Islands which recently refused docking rights to 900 male tourists aboard a gay cruise ship as well as the State of Maine which—because of Christian Coalition crusades—repealed state-government backed employment, housing, public accomodations and credit protections. Independent Maine towns, however, have already begun restoring those same rights, Kunst noted. Such local shows of independence, he says, are in the true American spirit. The Oral Majority has produced a new slogan button that will be distributed during the upcoming Myrtle Beach events which slogan, the director says, is part of its campaign. The button reads: NO GAY RIGHTS--NO GAY MONIES. Kunst said Oral Majority would take this part of his campaign internationally in presenting this issue before the G-7 Summit in Birmingham, England, May 15-17, 1998 when Clinton meets with other world leaders. The Oral Majority will also conduct activist efforts among 50,000 who are due in Pensacola, Florida during the Memorial Day Weekend; 100,000 attending "Gay Day" at Disney, May 31-June 6, 1998 and Gay Pride in Key West June 7 to June 14 with many thousands expected in attendance. "The world will be focused on Florida because cruise ships dock at its ports and its tourism industry may help set a worthy pace, calling for simple fairness on the watery globe for all peoples." Kunst says he hopes to see a Declaration of Rights for All Gays, Bisexuals and Heterosexuals as part of a concerted focus for a ballot victory in November, a win to set the tone for Federal legislation thereafter and the much-needed passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA in Congress.)" Kunst who, in 1977, successfully embarrassed religiously-inspired hate-monger and orange-juice singer Anita Bryant in a nationally- televised debate adds: "Our 'hit button' raising financial resources for our cause these days is: "Why Send 'a Monica' to Do A Man's Job" and its dedicated to Newt Gingrich who never gets it."
