London Police Tape Gay Sex on Hampstead Heath London Metropolitan Police officers are patrolling Hampstead Heath with hand-held video cameras to deter gay sex, Gay Times reported in its September issue. The cameras are in use from noon till early evening, the magazine said. The tapes will be used as evidence against men charged with having sex "in public." Posters warning about the taping have been put up throughout the Heath. The crackdown will not interfere with the "glow boxes" containing condoms and lube that have been stationed throughout the area by the group Gay Men Fighting AIDS, Gay Times said.
